In full support of the preventative efforts of local health officials and emergency management in their response to the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Pinedale Aquatic Center is working to do our part to mitigate the risk of spread of illnesses in our public facility.
State Public Health Officials recommend everyone exercise the following measures to prevent the spread of illnesses:
Avoid close contact with sick people.
While sick, limit contact with others as much as possible.
Stay home if sick.
Cover your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing. Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth. Germs spread this way.
Clean and disinfect surfaces and objects that may be contaminated with germs.
Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand rub with at least 60 percent alcohol.
PAC encourages all patrons who are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms to take days of rest. Likewise, all PAC employees are strongly encouraged to take self-care days when needed to care for self and family members. PAC will be enhancing our disinfecting efforts and ask for patrons help in disinfecting fitness and weight equipment after every use; as always, sanitizing wipes are available in all fitness, weight, and studio areas. Both employees and patrons are encouraged to wash hands thoroughly and often. Hand sanitizer is also available throughout the facility including in the lobby by the front entrance and the stairs to the fitness area, in the climbing wall area, and in the fitness area. We appreciate everyone’s assistance in doing their part in preventing the spread of germs.
As of March 2, the State Public Health Officer has released in a public announcement that they “are closely monitoring the situation and sharing our recommendations. At this time there are no reported cases in Wyoming and the risk to our residents from the disease remains low. Currently we believe the risk for disease is primarily among travelers to other countries with community transmission. However, it is becoming increasingly likely that COVID-19 will eventually spread to our state.” PAC will continue to stay informed on COVID-19 updates and the recommendations released by local and state public health officials.
