General Information and Administration

Mission: To provide a welcoming public facility with a caring staff focused on delivering premier recreational services.

The Pinedale Aquatic Center, or PAC, is an 87,000 square foot recreation and aquatic center, complete with a competition pool, leisure pool, water slide, hot tub, climbing wall, fitness and weights area, as well as a gymnasium, classrooms, and fitness studios. The facility is located on the property of Sublette County School District #1 and is governed by a Joint Powers Board made up of SCSD#1 board members as well as a town and county representative.

Funding for the facility comes largely through a Recreation Mil levied by the school district that is earmarked for community recreation. Additional revenue come from memberships and program fees, as well as contract for service with the Town of Pinedale and donations and grants secured by Friends of PAC, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

PAC averages around 55 employees, depending on the season. With only nine full-time employees, the remaining staff are all part-time, of which nearly half are high school aged students.
